I Touch Mounted on my rifle

Re: I Touch Mounted on my rifle

I haven't heard of the Knight's version, howeve, I am certain that it will be priced like the rest of thier gear. It's good to see you guys doing what we do and that is make due with what you have and modify your own gear.

Hopefully, you left it out, but am I to understand that you don’t implement a light on your "duty rifle"? I'm all about simplicity but dude, there's a good chance you may be in a gun fight at night or have to do an entry on a dark room. That being said, as far as your I Touch is concerned, I’m trying to figure out a way to mount my Mac on my rifle so I can surf porn without “changing position”.

I’m just jacking with you bro, if it works for you, rock it!

Re: I Touch Mounted on my rifle

I do have a flashlight and mount for my duty. But the squadron ran out and they are not the best. So I put it in another troops gun because they were deploying.

And the I Touch can play porn!

How the hell do you adjust the elevation on that scope and not break your "rhythm"? Aren't those covered turrets?

</div></div>

He said he shoots on a 25m range. I don't think adjusting the scope is much of an issue.

What I want to know is, what the hell is your left hand doing when you shoot if you can move it all over the place between shots but moving your firing hand causes you to "break position?"

</div></div>

I don't us the ITouch on the 25m range.

You have now confirmed you are an illiterate mouth-breather. Try to type a coherent sentence in remedial english to prove you are actually capable. BTW, even Maser and Lazy21 are facepalming themselves reading your posts.

Until then I have a sign for you to wear around your neck:

Are you kidding us? What is that shit? Are you twelve?

We are adults here and we do not text each other. Please get a little less lazy and type using at least half ass structure.

Oh, and to answer your question...

There is a huge amount of info on ballistic programs here, search and ye shall find (use the link in my sig.)

Re: I Touch Mounted on my rifle

I use fte ballistic, I would have never guessed it would work as good as it does. A few weeks ago I dialed in all the stuff and my iPhone read the weather and plugged it in for me so I dialed the scope and fired one down range to 1025Yrds and it put me within 1 moa of center mass first shot. Hell for 5 bucks ID say that's good! But I'm in Louisiana so there's no need for the angle reader and mounting it on my boom stick is a waste.

WHY IN THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT TO MOUNT A FUCKING ITOUCH ON YOUR RIFLE ?

EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the pic. I get it, you run the ballistics app on your iThing, but keep it in your pack or next to the gun when you're shooting... putting it ON the gun is just retarded.

I think some of you are confusing tactical with just trying to make something easier. If I wanted to be tactical I would make a range card and put it in my pocket before I went to shoot. Which I think everyone should know how to do before they get this stuff.
</div></div>

Since you're using it on one rifle with (probably) the same rounds most of the time why not just write your compensation values on this thing and put it on your scope. Easier, less weight, simpler, generally just a more appropriate way to store ballistics. http://www.leupold.com/tactical/products...llistics-chart/

Damn iThings... when it breaks or runs out of batteries then your whole day at the range is wasted since you don't have your dope written down. Why carry a computing device if you're shooting at the same place with the same caliber every time you go out?

I'm all for ingenuity and solving problems with a new design, so I appreciate your effort here with mocking up a holder but I just don't personally want to trust anything apple makes out in the woods/desert.

My guess is that a printer mount will be the next project!

But if you are prepared to replace it, gas on. I will just leave mine on the ground next to my position. I can still look down at it without breaking position.

Now if I can find a decent stylus so I don't have to keep taking off my gloves. </div></div>
