I know that I am sometimes quick to tell others about a bad experience, especially if I feel like someone goes out of there way to jerk me around. Well, this was such a good experience, I think everyone needs to know about this as well.

I have been working on my first precision rifle build for a while now. I have a long action R700 to build from and I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. Some of the guys I shoot with had recommended Accurate Ordinance to do the build. So the other day, I wrote a pretty long email to the general sales mailbox at AO. I had a number of questions about getting certain parts, time frame, logistics etc. but I also detailed out what I wanted to build. I sent the email then got up and went to the kitchen...

By the time I got back (couldn't have been 5 minutes) I had a reply from Mark who not only answered my questions but brought up some extremely valuable points about what I wanted to build that I had not thought about.... Before I could get back to him about my rational behind my decisions, he had already sent me a written estimate. To say I was blown away is a complete understatement.

The next morning when I got to work, I got an email where he took a picture of all of the components I was considering together which he had weighed so I could know the completed weight of my build.

Mark continued to go way above and beyond my expectations. He obviously takes customer service to a whole new level. For several days we went back and forth and he answered every single one of my novice questions and brought up things I never even thought about.

I can not say thanks enough to Mark already as the things he brought up will make a huge difference in how much I enjoy my new rifle. I would also tell anyone who is even thinking about building a rifle, to talk to Mark.... These guys are first class and have, without a doubt, earned my business.

Like I said, this is my first build, but I really don't think that all builders would be so patient and go the extra mile like that. Am I wrong????

Re: I want to relate a story about Accurate Ordinance

With virtually every gunsmith I've ever dealt with, the actual completion time is usually the quoted time times two plus a little more. Accurate Ordnance is the only one I've used that made me say "What? Done already!"

Re: I want to relate a story about Accurate Ordinance

Thanks much for the kind words. Really humbling and means a lot.

We aren't perfect and sometimes make mistakes. But we do try to treat people the way we'd want to be treated. Especially for a customer looking to maybe build his first rifle we really try to feed them with as much information (and questions) as possible to make certain when they receive their rifle they are 100% satisfied.

Your questions are always welcome and if you are ever in this area, please stop by the shop for a tour and a chat.

Have a great holiday.

Mark

Mark, provides the best CS that I've come across. On top of being a damn decent individual every time I've talked to him. Good people down there, and I'd be willing to bet you won't be disappointed.

And as awesome as Mark is at customer service, Jason and Dave are equally awesome in workmanship. You'll be blown away at what they build for you. I still love my .308 AR they built for me, and now I'm saving up my clams for them to rebuild my Remington 700. You'll have no regrets!

Re: I want to relate a story about Accurate Ordinance

Those guys at AO are top notch. It's hard to find a very good custom shop with a very good CS.In most case you only get one or another, but very rare to get both skills craftsmanship and great CS at the same times.

Re: I want to relate a story about Accurate Ordinance

I do wood floors and am always the one trying to provide the same level of customer service I have received from Mark. It's refreshing and awesome to be on the recieving end. I am having him build a 338 LM for me and I have recommend AO to all my friends. I simply lack the words to articulate how easy dealing with Mark is. He is just a joy to work with. So here is a pubic thank you for all you guys at AO, Ethan.

That is awesome and a really cool touch. I am trying to get my stuff together so that they can get started on mine. All these posts and pics are really giving me the itch! What caliber did you go with redx? I can't make up my mind between 6.5 x 284 and 6.5cm.

Re: I want to relate a story about Accurate Ordinance

I am glad to finally read a good thread about a company. I recently sent them E-mail about threading a barrel for and putting on a Little Bastard hope to hear from them soon with as good of results as you have had. From what I have read they are great people to deal with.

Redx, I have seen the pics of your rifle. it is a beauty. I am sure it shoots just as good as it looks as well. I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Hell... your famous! LOL

FateOn3, I am sure that Mark has better things to do than to sit a the computer all day, I am sure I just happened to catch him there. He is really a first class guy and I have no doubt will take great care of you.
