Hi, I'm new to the forum and would like your thoughts on a new stick. I want a .300 wm but thats about all I have been able to decide on. Primary function would be 600-1000 yard range shots. I am open to all different ideas, I have looked at factory rifles and customs. I really like GAP but I'm trying to keep the rifle in the $3000 range. Also what glass would you guys recommend thats at a good price, sub $2000. Thanks in advance.

There are so many options. Check out STR (Suarez Tactical Rifles) as he does excellent work and at great prices.

I would look hard at a TRG-42 if you are thinking .300 WM. Several 'Hide vendors have excellent deals on them and you would be getting an excellent rifle right out of the box with no wait time.

I am in the same boat as you looking at a 300wm. I am not wanting to go custom on this one about the best bang for your buck is the TRG 42 unless you can find a good deal on a used custom

Have you looked in the classifieds on here for a rifle? How about the Viper PST for glass?

+1 on looking in the sale section. there were quite a few 300s in there and i just saw two TRGs for a good deal in 300wm.
