Yesterday eating breakfast I heard the sound of the water valve for the toilet in the closest bathroom opening to run a few seconds of water.
I thought "Hmmm, that cant be good"
Guessing the flapper valve is no longer seating on the Toto.
A trip to the hardware store, some headscrtaching because I dont know what model toilet I have and of course not all flaps are the same.
I just bought the Toto universal one that lets you dial a drain height and went from there.
Change it out, drop in a blue dye pack, no more leaks.
Im thinking to myself how efficient I am and how lucky my family is to have me.
Than I think "If I was govt what would I have done?"
A. I probably would of ignored it for about another 6 months and not worry about the four figure water bill that I cant afford.
or....
B. I would have went to the other bathrooms in the house and screwed with the flappers so they all leaked and everything would have been equal and thus correct.
Im thinking about this as I ponder the number of government failures of their sole prime responsibility to the citizenry, that of working for the public good, in letting that driver kill those people in New Hampshire.
Based on a driving incident in May he should have never been driving and now the laundry list is being revealed.
Govt has failed, it has become illegitimate. The unequal application of the law is creating a Darwinian survival of the fittest situation where each is out for its own.
There needs to be a correction or this is going to get ugly.
The fish has rotted at the head.
