I disagree with this.
It is Frank's site. No questions there. I think he would agree that we all contribute and make tis our own, and that without all of us there would be no site. In the end, however, it is his RESPONSIBILITY to see that it operates CLEANLY (thats not really the word I wanted). Hes discovered that Politics and Religon are loaded subjects. To easy for some hothead to go off and make threats against someone and that would call heat down upon the site, and him. So those things are out.
Though I commented on them I dont recall having started any of these threads. Mabey a while back but I got the message and saw this coming. And until an offline conversation with Frank, I had no idea HOW MANY law enforcement guys were here.
I have always <span style="font-style: italic"> tried</span> to have respect for the boys in blue. But when I see things like were posted, and as many as were posted, it begins to make me <span style="color: #CC0000"> FEAR</span> them. I dont really like that. though I think it more widespread than most LEO's here admit, its what a few assholes have done that causes trouble for all. For that reasom I personally think it CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that I/WE stay aware and protect our rights.
I cant speak as to the motives of the ones who posted them. Mabey to inform, mabey to stir up trouble, mabey some of each. I for one welcome the information and felt honored to find it at Snipers Hide, where so many (profess) stand for the rights gauranteed by the constitution. I thought the vidieo of the Canton cop was truly Classic, and apparently so did a lot of others including a lot of our brother boys in blue who condemed it. What I would have hoped to see come out of these postings is a greater awareness by the LEO's here and their dedication to eradicate that type of behavior in their peers. I can give you one especially poignant reason, at least to me. I never took an oath to uphold anythng. I obey the laws because for the most part I think they are good. Not that justice always prevails, but the intent is there. You guys, you LEO's took, I believe, an oath to uphold the constitution, land the laws of the state in which you serve...or something similar. If your honorable, and I believe most of ou are, then if your made aware that your peers are acting this way I should think by the oath you took you would be compelled to correct it.

My reason for expressing my disappoint, Frank, was not in that you banned this, as I did see it coming, and after our conversation understand why, but that so many were against it, and called me and others cop-haters. We're not, at least Im not. We treasure our rights and freedoms,our honor, <span style="font-size: 14pt"> <span style="color: #990000">Above all else. </span>. </span> What could have been used as a tool to help protect our liberties was seen, and granted at times used, by all, as a club.
Too bad: But I guess that like politics and religon, on this site at least, we are, myself included, too immature to handle it wisely.
So Frank made the right decision.
