    Went for the first time in 1988... at night. In the rain. In the reflected and ambient light, the statues seemed to be both alive... and sweating... and crying. The rain brought them alive in a really eerie way.

    It was a very amazing experience. Been many time since. But none compared to that first night in April '88. I can still picture myself standing there. Every detail. From the offerings at the bottom of the wall to the statues that simply seemed to be... human.

    Went to the Wall shortly after it opened. Havent been to the statues, but yes they look human, almost alive. who ever did them struck a masterpiece. I think Ill have to go soon.
