With all the news about the Bombing Suspects, their shootout with the police etc etc… I was surprised my fellow gun control supporters did not voice their opinions about the ease of terrorists’ acquisition of dangerous firearms in this country. I was also surprised that not one of our legislators has proposed new laws regulating the sale, transfer, and use of pressure cookers (as they are obviously very deadly devices capable of mass destruction). How long will America allow the sale of deadly bomb making materials in kitchen and silverware isles of Wall Mart, Menards, Home Improvement and Lowes Hardware stores? WE NEED REGULATION PEOPLE. As a concerned citizen, I think that we need to enact new laws that will be 100% effective in preventing lunatics from obtaining the materials they need to make explosive devices. The FBI, CIA, ATF etc… need to start regulating American citizens’ hardware store purchases immediately, because it is complete absurdity that their over the counter sale of deadly devices is placing the American public in harm’s way. The only politician that comforted me recently was Senator Feinstein in her statement that she does not believe that the American citizens need to arm themselves, instead she prefers “massive police presence to individuals with ‘assault rifles’ in the Boston Manhunt.”
Yes Senator Feinstein, I completely agree with your theory that we should impose martial law every time we have a lunatic on the loose. This type of a massive overreaction is just the thing that terrorists were not expecting, and the American government’s and media’s reaction to the events that transpired is exactly the kind of publicity that terrorists desperately try to avoid. Now I know that martial law is somewhat controversial to American notion of democracy and to the 1st, and the 4th amendment, but so what. If we can do without the 2nd amendment, we can also do without the 1st, 3rd, 4th (catch my drift). Ever since immigrating to this country I have always found the clusterfuck of rights the American citizens enjoy to be very frustrating and confusing. There are so many damn rights and amendments in this country that I cannot even count them all on my ten fingers. How can I be a free citizen when I cannot even keep track of all the damn right I have? As if I am not worried enough about Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy, Lindsey Lohan’s substance abuse problems and Hollywood anorexia, you are telling me that we have the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the 27 Amendments to worry about as well? With so much confusion with all these damn amendments I find it increasingly difficult to enjoy my American citizenship. Therefore, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for proposing to alleviate me of the stresses of the confusions the American clustefuck of rights is causing me. Like you, I also believe that we need to make our democracy more economical, the rights we have now are completely inefficient as not all Americans exercise them all. I agree with your idea that the less rights we have the more we will be able to exercise, and I will finally be able to concentrate all of my worries on celebrity scandals.
Furthermore, I think that imposing martial law every time we have a killer on the loose is as democratic and as brilliant of an idea as the Patriot Act. Look how well that fits into the traditional notions of a democratic society, and how effective it has been in preventing terrorist attacks all around the world. Obviously, everyone that is against the Patriot Act is unpatriotic, and obviously everyone that is unpatriotic must be a terrorist. Therefore, I think that everyone that is against your marital law plan and the patriot act needs to be shipped to Guantanamo where they can have a big waterboarding party. I can’t understand what all the fuss is about all these amendments anyways? Obviously the only people who care about the 4th Amendment are drug dealers with a stash in the closet, and terrorists with an arsenal of weapons and explosives in the attic, any patriot has absolutely no use for this dumb amendment. Furthermore, since we are imposing martial law, I think it necessary to immediately do away with the 3rd amendment. As if any American citizen ever exercised their 3rd Amendment rights anyway I think the 3rd Amendment will only complicate your marital law plan since if the FBI will be hunting all these damn terrorists that are running around, and shutting down our cities, they will also need a place to stay. Furthermore, I think it necessary and proper that we should require all American citizens to provide the FBI, CIA, ATF and DEA with warm chocolate chip cookies upon mandatory searches of their dwelling places. I mean if Santa can get cookies and milk for invading our homes once a year, who is to say that our hard working federal law enforcement officers should be denied the same courtesy? It’s only respectful and patriotic to provide them with warm cookies, but more snacks and food is preferred as we need to encourage them to be more productive on their manhunts.
Also, I am the kind of guy who loves patriotic celebrations. And since Memorial Day and 4th of July only come around once a year each, you martial plan idea is a great way of rallying American citizens around a common cause. I too want to be as naïve as the college students on the streets of Boston after the manhunt aftermath, because I think that celebrating martial plan and government overreaction is a great way to show my American spirit. After all, people in Syria, North Korea, Pakistan etc… all love gathering on the streets to celebrate military coups and things of that sort. It’s about time the Americans finally start trusting their government, after all how else will we combat these damn terrorists?
With all this talk about terrorism, violence, and gun control, I was very disappointed that Pierce Morgan did not enlighten us with what his beloved England has done to prevent the problems that are currently plaguing the American society. After all, he is the man who is the expert on all subjects, and the British are a nation that have solved all problems known to man. I am eager to hear what suggestions we can get from our most staunch ally. I figure that Pierce Morgan’s ancestral Red Coats are the main culprits behind our Founding Fathers overreaction in creating the immense clusterfuck of rights that the American public is trying to now consolidate, and since they are our friends now, I think that there is no longer a necessity for all these damn rights we have. They are confusing, frustrating, and they interfere with my ability to enjoy my American citizenship. I cannot wait until Pierce Morgan comes back from his beloved homeland and educates us about the regulation of pressure cookers and other bomb making materials his genius government has been imposing for years. It is finally time that America starts acting civilized. American citizens need to quit their love affair with easy acquisition of deadly devices and need to give more support in their regulatory efforts. I have already decided to sell all my guns as they are no longer necessary for my protection, and I have prepared a guest room in my house for federal agents to enjoy as they diligently hunt terrorists in my neighborhood.
POSTED THIS IN THE 2nd Amendment thread as well hope I'm not breaking any rules. If I am let me know and I will do my best to correct the problem
