I'm kinda slow sometimes so I just noticed the Nightforce doesn't have the typical illumination dial on the ocular part of the scope.

The Razor has it were I'm used to seeing and using it. Is the Nightforce illumination setup any better or easier to use than the Razor?

Setting illumination was one of the reasons, why I went to Razor and not to Nightforce. When you want to set illumintion on Nightforce, you have to take out paralax knob top, uder which is trimmer whith which you can set it. Nothing for me

The on and off on the nxs is a push/pull of the parallax knob.

The brightness is set under the cap as explained above.

The razor does have a better control for the illumination, but I find I don't use the illumination much.

Just down loaded the Night force users manual. Should have went there first but didn't think about that. Anyway,

I see you have to use a small screw driver to adjust or change the brightness settings.

I don't see myself using illumination on a regular basis and when I do use it I don't see my self dialing through all the different levels if brightness all the time. But, I can see that being an issue if you do want to bump the light up or down just a little.

I set mine a little lower than the factory setting. It shoulld be gtg for dawn and dusk deer hunting. That's the only time I can see me using it.
