I was just responding to his posts about me. That would show he is the one bringing it up. But you are not alone in your faulty reasoning. I've seen this many times. Recently I was on a small boating forum that was very strict and you had to be very careful voicing an opinion that was different than someone else.
If my demeanor didn't match what was considered normal ,other members would attack me ,( not realizing they were doing what they accuse me of ) and I would respond. So, if I have 10 responses to 10 different members I am considered to be " passive aggressive " and their behavior is overlooked .
Context is often lost .

I never used the ignore button. I guess a person could use it enough to create their own version of a forum . Facebook topics and Youtube videos stand on their own, but by looking at the comments a person doesn't know how others feel . The person originating them can delete comments to make them appear as they wish.
