Well in that case I guess i need to get off my butt and figure out what page sets I want to order. So long as there wasn't a cover available for it I really didn't worry about my procrastination in ordering...

Re: Impact Databook Cover

Just ordered my first data book from Imapact. I really like your cover but I would like to see:
1. Either a velcro patch on the front or a clear faced pocket. Reason, I plan on having more than one book and it would be nice to add an external indicator as to which book it is. Maybe even both. One section for book i.d. and one for those morale patches all the cool kids have.
2. Wide bungee style bands on top of the interior pockets.

Of course if you were to do any of these I would pay more than the current price.

Thank You
Patrick Scott

ETA: Isnt there a guy here on the Hide that can print stuff on credit card stock? That would be pisser for my #1 idea, but I can't remember who it is. ...searching

I can do either, or. Whichever works best for you.

What would you see as the purpose of bands like that? I don't carry 3/4 or 1" elastic currently because I don't have any products that use it. If it's something that I think others would find useful then it's not a problem for me to buy a roll or two.

The cover that I was using before I started making them had such a band, but I never actually used it for anything.

Anyone wanting any thing custom, please PM me. I hand make these books so I can add or remove features as needed. I can quote you an individual price depending on the difficulty and materials involved.

That is definitely doable. The only problem when you start adding things like that is that you will reduce the number of pages that you can keep in the binder. We are limited by the thickness of the spine on the Impact or Storm binders. I would have no problem doing cartridge loops for anyone who wants them, but I don't think I would make those a standard feature. It would add about $10 based on the materials and time that it takes to set them up.

Keep up the good work and keep sewing we are selling a ton of books!!

Re: Databook Cover

LoneWolfUSMC,

About the bands, I was seeing them used for a calculator and possibly my map compass. I'm sure they would fit in the pockets you have, but with other papers in there I was worried about items like that chaffing into the paper/pages. Thanks for taking the time.

I just got some 725D Woodland Marpat in. This is the "official" stuff with the embedded EGA. It's a little lighter weight than what I usually use, but I think it will come out OK.

I am stitching some up over then next two days. If it comes out like I expect I will post it up.

Re: Impact Databook Cover

Looks good. My 2 cents
The front cover pocket should hold a pen PLUS the Project Calculator. You can put a second pen or pencil in the main pocket if you need more than one. Tactical Tailor puts in 2 pen pockets, and I have to cut the stitching out of the inside one to make the main pocket larger for the Calculator.
A Nylon Hold down was mentioned above for the Front Cover. I like them in 1.5" wide X 2.5" long sewn across in the center to make a Double Hold Down. I keep a Flat LED Light in one and a 3/32 Allen Screw Driver in the other for changing scope knob settings at the Range or in the Field.
The Mil Dot Master and Sniper Template from Bear-Aide can go in the back cover pouch. Thats how I would set it up anyway.
I am not sure if I would put a hook and loop panel on the spine for a Name Tape or not. I always have had them sewn on in the past. Lots of SWAT Snipers change over the years and pass on the rifle and Log Book, so a removable Name Tape might not be a bad idea to consider atleast as an option.

Not sure what "project calculator" you are talking about. The front pocket will hold two pens and a Mildot Master. It will alternate accommodate many small pocket calculators. If you have a specific way you would like the front pocket configured I can do it.

By "Nylon Hold Down" do you mean elastic? Are you talking about on the inside front cover or on the outside of the cover? Again these are custom features I can add. If extra materials and time on the machine are required, then I will quote and additional charge, but it's usually minimal.

This is a possibility, although right now I only have 2" loop tape. I have had at least one buyer request loop tape on the front of the book for patches/name tapes. Again, depending on what you want I can usually do it.

Thanks for the input.
