Impact of cold on rimfire ammo

@Tim7139 have you any experience of comparing 'de-waxed' bullets to their waxed form ? Or would de-waxed bullets cause excessive galling ?

Absolutely zero.
Not sure you’re term “galling” but I would assume there’d be a probability of leading and I want no chance of that running down any high level match grade barrel I own.

i am not sure of all the odd things to test or why. If i shoot in the cold, the gun is gonna be cold. There are a variety of shooting games, some in the snow and some in the sun. Sometimes, they both happen during the same match.

I know a temp swing from 25f to 40f is going to require adjustment for me. A temp swing that large is pretty common here from the morning to the afternoon during times of the year. Many matches dont allow sighters after a match starts, and you just have to know how to compensate.
