Gunsmithing Imperfection on brass

That would be caused from a small chip getting stuck and rolled into the chamber while reaming. Looks like a non-issue from the pic but dont be surprised if that spot is a little more noticeable visually after you resize the brass. The side walls of the die will be rubbing against a bit of a high spot.

Seems like a chip possibly got caught on the reamer and wore in that specific line. Would be a really odd burr on the reamer if it wasnt a chip.

could be wrong though....
 
I’ve had this happen twice on two different barrels. Don’t waste time with it, returning it to the Smith is the safest best.
