Don't Make Up Your Mind About A Shooting From Watching The Video

Just as with Eddie Adams's famous 1968 photo from the Vietnam War, the images of Derek Chauvin and George Floyd only tell us part of the story.

I’m not a Bear Pit guy so much. I’m sure most or all of the subject has been trod upon here continuously and probably with the same point revealed. Many here will definitely remember Eddie’s shot. Just throwing this here.

From what I have read and researched, the shooter with the revolver was a colonel in the Republic of Vietnam Army and the guy getting his head canoed was a Communist assassin who specialized in killing the family members of ROV military and police officials, and that he had murdered the colonel's wife and daughter days prior to his capture and execution, by the colonel himself...

So basically, this case ranks on the same level as the guy who blasted a perp outside a courthouse years back who raped and murdered the guy's toddler son and gotten off on "insanity"...

Vietnam, I also believe, was the first conflict in which America faced MORE threats from it's own leftist domestic enemies than the actual enemy on the battlefield. The leftist news rags in the country had been spewing nonstop anti-US propanganda complete with doctored photos, leading to US servicemen being assaulted as they arrived back home. You also had sympathizers like Jane Fonda, whose iconic photo of her wearing an NVA kettle hat and sitting on an NVA antiaircraft gun became one of the defining photos of the 1960s. And the leftist terrorists of the time, mainly the Nation of Islam and the Weathermen, were openly killing armored truck guards and taking their cash, as well as planting bombs all over the place.

At least the music, car and motorcycle scenes were LIT during those turbulent times though... I gotta say that...

Awesome. That was justice. Glad the guy got off with community service and probation. They should have put up a statue in his honor.

Edited to add: Upon further reflection, I'd like to refine my statement a little. Wasn't quite justice, but probably the best you could hope for given the criminal justice system. Ideally, the pedo would have been hamstrung so he was at a disadvantage like the boy was, then placed in a room with the father.

Yep there was a ton of anti-war propaganda then and images were used to further that end. Nick Ut’s Pulitzer Awarded image of the burned naked girl, mouth agape in pain, after being napalmed running toward and by his camera.

Young Jeff Doucet's teachers had told him that he can be anything that we wanted to be in life, if he is dedicated... He decided that he wanted to cosmetically modify his own body into a Fleshlight... He got his wish... Just like the commie guy in the Hanoi photo... Gotta give it to them, since they accomplished their goals WITHOUT using Medicaid and the public dime...
