IMR 8208 XBR in 7.62x54R?

Is this powder ok to use in the 7.62x54R cartridge? I usually use H4895 or IMR 4895 but I have a pound of 8208 sitting here not being used. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I say wes, but you should go lookup the data sheet at IMR.

I looked in the load data section on the Hogdon/IMR website, but 8208 is not listed for 7.62x54. Although on the burn rate chart it is slightly faster burning than H4895. Just need to figure out a base load to start with for Hornady 150 FMJBT.

Maybe use 3031 starting loads?
