OK I've always used Harris Bipods on a sling swivel stud, but you guys are always posting up pics of Atlas, or GG&G pods (so naturally, now I want one). So I go to shopping, and well it looks like both of those brands require a spigot, or 1913 rail to mount on. Is there a way to mount those bipods on a sling swivel stud? I'm probably overlooking something, as I'm unfamiliar with the ins and outs of them.

Mine are H-S Precision, kinda like the PST008, but mine only has one sling swivel stud as opposed to two. I'll check Harris' site see what they have.

ETA: Looks like the Seekins adapter would be pretty easy to install, just one hole to drill.

I've found the best way to install these is to use brass threaded inserts with 10/24 inside threads. I got mine at true value in the bolt/screw section. 10/24 button hex head screws are what you want to hold the rail into the brass inserts. Once installed you'll find it's rock solid.

Check out this video on how to install them

Accushot makes several rail sections for use with their bipods and they have a QD sling mount built in.
