You dont need 100 guns to be “ready”, just the basics like a reliable carbine, pistol, allied kit/gear and a few k rounds for each system, which it sounds like you have...I target shoot weekly and reload what I use with rest of my consumables untouched. Having some NODs also helps but isnt strictly speaking, required.
My “readiness” trigger was the 2018 mid terms when we lost the House. Had a feeling some bad times were coming but in no way, shape or form did I anticipate a shit storm like this. So I began stocking up, especially reloading supplies, as much as I could since Nov 2018. I figured the scarcities would be reminicent of what we saw in 2012/2016 and didnt want to be in a position of having to “panic-buy” and pay 2-3x or go without. I re-prioritized funds from things like entertainment (eating out, traveling, etc) to target shooting. A $100 night out with buddies became a few thousand primers and so forth.
Ive also sold a shit ton of unused weapons and optics this past year and consolidated down to only a small handful, each with x amount of rounds available or producable in terms of raw materials on hand.
