Would anyone out there recommend Penrod Precison for smith work?

I found only one or two older posts that recommended PP but I wanted to hear recent opinions.

From the little that I have found, PP does very good work.

Geoff is indeed a good builder. The number you listed is not his number... 812-749-6416

Re: Indiana Gunsmith

I've owned a rifle built by AJ Brown and my shooting partner has a couple built by Geoff Korn. I'd recommend either of them. My shooting partner had a bad experience with Penrod.

Re: Indiana Gunsmith

Well damn, I hate to read these somewhat less than positive opinions about PP,...I made a committment just last week.

I suppose I'll just "stay the course" and take my chances. I have heard some good / positive reports as well about PP.

Can you give us some details? I ask because I have heard some very good things, the only bad thing that I have heard is that he is pretty backed up. Right now he is something like 9-10 months out.

A big +1 here. You will NOT go wrong with either Geoff or AJ. Both top notch!

I honestly do not remember the specifics as it was several years ago. I can check with him and get the skinny.

What he said...I love mine

Re: Indiana Gunsmith

What I've committed to is to have my old remmy 700 pss upgraded with a Kreiger barrel, trued up action, and bedded.

I'm not too concerned about the wait time,...I have plenty of things that go bang that I need to knock the dust off of.

Re: Indiana Gunsmith

I have met both AJ Brown and Geoff Corn.

Geoff tuned the trigger on my AR10. I have shot several rifles done by him. I would not hesitate to send work to him.

AJ I just met at SHOT this year, but he also comes highly recommended and I have never heard of anyone who had a bad word to say about the man or the product.

Both AJ and Geoff have build rifles used in service and competition. I would say they are responsible for a large number of the custom police rifles in Indiana.
