I hope this is the proper subforum to post this public service announcement..if not can a mod please move it to proper location?
For the manufacturers on the forum that do not understand why you must register with DDTC for ITAR purposes because you do not currently nor plan to export your products or services.....NOW is the time to put your comments, concerns, questions,, etc out on the table for the powers to be to hear your voices.
As some of you already now and maybe some of you do not...The last Defense Trade Advisory Group meeting was tasked with reviewing and possibly revising what is a "manufacturer" for registration purposes, tasked with looking at implementation of a One Form electronic filing, and tasked with reviewing to determine if Category I, II, and III products and services could be removed from ITAR (As long as the product was a common off the shelf product and not designed specifically for Mil use) and put under US Department of Commerce EAR control.
DTAG will host an open meeting February 1, 2018 in DC..please see link for the location and reservation process.
