I am looking for an inexpensive shot timer for PRS training. Need something very simple - time for 10 shot string for each shot. Seeing timers at the $300 point but not cheaper. Is there something out there that I am missing?

$5 kitchen timer from Amazon.

If you want it to count shots, google shot timer and spend accordingly. Expect to spend about 150 bucks. If you go new, highly recommend shooters Global. the budget option is pact.

For live fire, I like the Pocket Pro 2, and for dry fire, I like the CED 8000. The CED 8000's repeat feature and headphone jack are also excellent for dry fire. Because it's heavy and occasionally produces false shots due to the folding screen, I don't like it for live firing.

I understand that it is $300, but the Kestrel KST1000 is superior to the other options. If you are really going to use it, I would recommend finding the extra $$ and purchasing the Kestrel. I have one and will never go back.
