Are you saying that this offering from LineStretch is miss-spelled, and that it actually says "beef with broccoli"?

Or is it some 'local dialect' or whatever to which it depends on the region to make the differences in what it portrays?

Maybe the differing regions work that out to "Abdul's 'Rent-A-Hump' used Camel-lot.


Note the "Robin Hood" inflection there,,,,

And lastly, before you continue working on Arabic, master English first or at least proof the spelling in your post.

Im just killing time at work, reading and dropped in on what I thought was boring reading. Boy was I wrong. It seems a little stupid to go hacking off and attacking someones product, no matter what it is just because you know more than somebody else about a specific topic. I know JC was just trying to give the poster an opportunity to buy what he asked for, he sells good stuff and has great customer service. I am also a veteran and have only been out a year but you don't see me spewing about how I was "protecting" anyone's "sorry asses", actually I rarely see or hear any veteran/active duty person going on such tangents.
A slight miss "spelling" sure is an odd thing to get so butthurt over and start slinging insults.

He may well be right. It is his presentation that is the issue.

Had he simply introduced himself, stated that he had 'X' training and experience studying the Arabic language, and the script on the back of my hat is incorrect, we may have gotten somewhere. Instead he wraps all that around being an asshole.

I'm all for my stuff being correct. If its not right I'll change it. If someone has one of my 'incorrect' hats and wants it fixed PM me.

Just dont be an asshole about it.

I was a crew member on nuclear missiles in Germany at the height of the Cold War,and yes,our Pershing P1A was a very real threat to the USSR.I can imagine you were in diapers at that time.I then volunteered for,and served,five years in EOD.I seriously doubt you were in any more danger during your "Combat Hours" than I was,EOD used the UH-1 as transport a lot,I was involved in two emergency landings during that time.Not a "Crash" as they landed upright both times,hard.

Being a Veteran,I have a tremendous respect for anybody that serves in the US Military.Your comment about protecting his "Sorry Ass" is over the top and laughable.You,Sir,are a Pompous Ass.

2. If you wear a hat that says "infidel" on it there's a 99% chance you were never overseas. Or if you were you just flew over (I hadn't heard anyone brag about that before).

By the way, you said your job was listening to Arabic, then called yourself an enlisted aviator. Im a pilot and I dont recall anyone who sits his ass in the back of the airplane while someone else flies and navigates ever being called an aviator.

And those of us that are natives don't appreciate insults to our country or the people in it. What a way to try and fish out some kind of insult. A sign of the desperate in a loosing fight.

After reading through the thread, and trying very hard not to respond because I generally don't respond to rude and disrespectful people. I decided I had a few things to say. Besides, I'm usually a good thread killer and this one needs to be done with.

First of all Thank you to everyone that has said so many good things about our products. We appreciate you all of you very much.

Shallowgrave...if you have done all that you say you have done you'd know that there are more important things in life to get all twisted up about and if you think this is one of them...you need to spend more time with your wife and children. Life is too short.

Aren't you lucky to be living in a country where you can go off on a misguided rant and know that your family is safe from harm. There are many people that don't have that freedom. Thank you for serving your country, but while you were flying around, my son and JC's step-son was on the ground and will be again in a few weeks. So until you have walked in his shoes looking for daisy chains and tried to sleep through the nightly shelling. Your service in the sky was a walk in the park. Thank God that you did not have to do what he and so many others had to do. I was an Airforce wife for twenty years, I know your position and had friends that did it. So get off your high horse and step down here with the rest of us.

It is obvious that you are a Novice at your linguistics otherwise a little research will show you that this can be spelled many ways. We did our research and had our spelling verified...not by a linguist, but by a native born and raised arabic that I work with. The way you discribed it is also a very popular way of spelling it. Neither is wrong just different...so get over it.

In closing...if you don't like the hat, Don't buy it. If the hat offends you, Don't buy it. If you don't like how we've spelled it, Don't buy it. You live in the land of free choices, you obviously don't like it...so I won't be looking for an order from you.

In the mean time...take a breath and go hug one of your kids...it will make you feel better.

I'm usually deep in a drunken sleep then because I thought it was safer than when I'm rolling the streets of Kandahar, but I guess I should start staying sober during that flight with such a high SA-2 threat there and all. Never knew American flagged carriers put themselves in such hazardous conditions, especially without any ECM's like you have. They better give me triple Skymiles next flight!
