I also saw an article stating that the fuckin propane tank had a performance enhancing paint job. If it's on pay per view I say we all go to Tucker's place to watch it . This happened to a good friend of mine last month. He was hunting alone on my neighbor's property one afternoon, just across our fence line. He didn't come home for supper and his wife couldn't reach him on his cell. She sent their young adult son to look for him since he was familiar with the location of all the hunting stands. They found his body (no safety harness) at the base of a tree around 10pm, his rifle still up in the stand. He was 53.

This has turned out exactly as expected. As I sit here, now physically fucked up, I gotta say, your compassion and words of kindness are not only greatly appreciated, but humbling. Seriously. We enjoy one hell of a community of like minded individuals who happen to share a passion for the shooting sports. We are literally Brothers in Arms.
Although many of our paths will never cross physically, unfortunately, we continue down the same road together in spirit. I cannot think of a better group of deplorables to proudly say "they're my deplorables". A room full of Alpha Dogs rarely goes well. You're the exception. I both tip my hat, and salute you.
It would be worrisome if nobody laughed with me, because god knows I'm still smiling and shaking my head over this whole fiasco. A good blood letting is healthy, Is it not? It's a healthy environment when we are comfortable enough to make light of an unfortunate circumstance. And you crazy bastards are more than capable of doing it in spades.

Well, just tell that puke to install some bailing wire and close the incision with duct tape so you can heal up.
Because we are all a little bull headed and tolerant of discomfort, here is the best rule you can follow. Do what the ortho guy says. Rehab as he says, eat like he says,
crap like he says, sleep like he says.
Its too easy to say that pain is part of rehab and overdo it.
Also follow FM advice too.

snapped collarbone sez Doc. Seen the xray. Surgery being scheduled to put a plate in. God I hope this doesn't fuck me up for shooting. Reeling in 30lb Spring Chinook is off the table to I suppose for now. Everything I love to do gone in one fell swoop. FUCK
oh well, could be worse. Especially after hearing of some of your unfortunate incidents. Just don't handle being a couch potato well at all. And ya, that mischievous look in the eyes is why my friends wives call me Eddie Haskell

if its just the clavicle thats broken, recovery after plating is fast. I know a guy that was to operating in a week after plating. Its the non plated ones that take 6-8 weeks to heal.
I bet it will be good quick. You may find one of those shoulder pads guys use with their old Sharps might be nice for a while after cleared to shoot.
Good news is, .22 is on the shelf like mad now (30k rounds at Cabelas last week) so you can do some plinking and have some fun while your healing. I say shoot the offending tank........
