    Hi all,

I am running a RRA 20" Varmint upper with a rifle length gas tube and buffer system. The gas block is .936.

Any recommendations on a good, low profile adjustable gas block? I have looked at the Syrac and a few others. Hard to find any in-stock in that size.

I like my Seekins, but I'm not sure they make one in .936.
However I have a buddy running a .936 JP Lo-Pro Adjustable gas block and that thing is an absolute beast. It is low-profile, but I don't know if it's any lower or larger than any of the other .936 offerings because I've never seen any others firsthand. Looks pretty slim though.

    No problems with either.

I have a seekins, JP and slr. I like the SLR the best. It has a leaf spring locking mechanism that is automatic and reliable. I don't like the set screw locking on the JP as nearly as much. The seekins adjustable block seems cheap compared to the others.

Whatever you choose, make sure the adjustment works well with your handguard. Some require front access, others side access and several need access from both directions, one for locking and another for adjustment. Depending on the location of side cutouts and length of the handguard past the block, one combination may not work for your setup.

I've used SLR, the titanium adjustable, they are supposed to run a bit cleaner as the carbon isn't supposed to stick to titanium as much, we'll see. SLR is a solid company, I love their hand guards too. I would try the superlative arms AGB as well, but maybe not the Syrac.

I have run SLR gas blocks lately and they do well. I like their options from set screw to clamp on, different materials and a good range of internal diameters.

I was able to siezed up one of the Ti SLR blocks on my SBR....no worries though, I pulled it off, stripped it down and cleaned it easily, good to go an hour later.

Well guys, thanks for all the input. I was leaning towards the superlative, but after seeing what they do venting gas to suppressor covers, I am not sure I will do anything. The rifle runs fairly soft already, it isn't hard to make slow double taps at 200 yards with a 10x scope.

SLR Rifleworks, I have 3 of their gas blocks now and they get very dirty, but I have had no issues with them. Superlative Arms is another that seems to get good reviews.

    +1

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

I think SLR has a gas block that big. I've run JP adjustable gas blocks for years on my ar's shooting suppressed off and on. I've since then switched to SLR on all my current rifles and in %100 satisfied so far and SLR blocks seem to be the most serviceable of them all to me. I love JP parts and still run some but I ended up running SLR because all of my hand guards are real Lowe profile and the JP block just don't fit.

I use nothing but SLR blocks from my SBRs to my precision gas guns. Makes tuning for suppressors or different loads easy. If the set screw ever gets stuck just put a drop of oil on it and it will be working again in no time.
