I may be too tired, and even I think this may be complete hogwash.. or not.
I'm sure you've all heard the theory that a 22lr @ 300 yards is equal to shooting a 308 at 1000 yards. This is due to ballistics. Drop and wind effect seem to be very similar comparison. So for this I'll just say "Okay, sure, lets say its true." So:
For a 22lr compared to 308wm
50 yds = 166 yds
100 yds = 333 yds
200 yds = 666 yds
300 yds = 999 yds
Now if we take a STOCK 22lr, not some super voodoo testicle ramrod 5000 with AI trigger, but a basic 22lr should we expect an MOA based on actual yardage or comparative yardage?
Actual MOA vs comparative to 308wm
.5 vs 1.66 @ 50
1.0 vs 3.33 @ 100
2.0 vs 6.66 @ 200
3.0 vs 9.99 @ 300
6.66 @ 200.... hmmm.... that sounds familiar.
Or should we maybe even average those together?
1.1 @ 50
2.2 @ 100
4.3 @ 200
6.5 @ 300
Those numbers seem pretty normal for stock 22lr with regular ammo.
This should be a fun discussion, release the hounds!
Edit: I'm well aware of Jbell's 6x5 thread. But those are not stock rifles or people. Jbell can shoot a bee in the balls from a helicopter in a tornado... while on fire. This is about normal humans and rifle expectations.

200 yards with rimfire
I've been sending 50 shots at a single aimpoint at 200 yards with rimfire for a while now. I'm not particularly skilled, or using a competition quality rifle off a high end rest. I shoot a home tweaked CZ 455 Varmint with a couple of Lilja barrels and a Sinclair F-Class bipod off a wood bench...
