With the PVS-22 and the day optic, if you can still "see" through it, it works!
I spent a good bit of time getting the optic centerline of the scope and clip on aligned on several platforms, but, it doesn't matter at all.
In one case I may have had some shading from the scope being very close to the PVS-22, but POI was not affected.
I feel more comfortable with the day and night optics fairly closely aligned, but it don't matter.
We shot a 300 mag that had about 60% offset between the 56mm objective and my PVS-22 UNS, "oh heck no way this is going to work" I thought. 600 meters dead on! The owner was so impressed he ordered a PVS-27 for the 300 Win Mag. And has since also ordered a PVS-26 for an AW.
