I think this might be their attempt at gen 3. If it is then it will be insanity expensive for no real gains over current US made Gen 3. One thing its P22 phosphor so its as lime green as it gets!

I'm not too excited about it for the same reasons you state. However, maybe there will be some fallout tubes eventually available for a reasonable price kind of like there is with the XR5. Otherwise, I would say it would be less performance for your dollar than a good L3 or ITT tube.
