Range Report interesting finding on primers

I know others have seen this before, but i switched from Winchester LR primers to CCI BR2 primers for my go to load and lost about 175fps with the same charge weight, and inadvertantly found a more accurate load for my gun. Are the CCI primers just that much cooler than a WLR?

I would have a hard time believing your chronograph. Maybe 25 - 40 FPS, but a 175 FPS swing is huge. You would have to have nearly 2 grains less powder to see that kind of drop.

I also switched but lost 100 fps. My SD went down from 30s and 40s to around 10. Of course now I'm having a hard time finding CCI BR2s.
