P.S. Only got the jap destroyer one right because I am helping a colleague edit a military history textbook and literally ran across the ship class Monday while fact checking a segment on Midway. Total fluke.

Y'know, that one annoyed me a bit as well. Hiroshima was the HQ for the IJA's 5th Division (who weren't really present during the bombing) and the IJA Second Army, and it was an industrial center for the Japanese military as well. Nagsaki produced ships, arms, equipment, et cetera for the Japanese military (and some of those factories were owned/operated by Mitsubishi). Valid military targets.

i knew the submarine as it was the first streamlined sub ever built. It was able to attack a convoy without being able to be dectected by ASDIC (sp?).

As I recall, the skipper surfaced and scuttled the boat after a fake attack run. Something like that...
