Introducing The Vision Chassis for R700, Tikka, Sako and Sig Actions

I get the distinct impression of the estate I bought that rifle from has stored it in properly after a bunch of shooting and eventually there was some rust inside the barrel.

I’ve got a couple of decent replacements for it, and I should probably just fix it and get it over with… but it shoots fine it’s just a pain in the ass to clean.

Finally got my Vision Chassis for my 300 PRC.

How is the distance from to grip to the trigger.

I’m a guy w small hands so that is important to me, personally.

I think they take any AR grip (true?) but it does not appear that you can adjust the grip position and I’m not seeing how the front strap of the grip can be moved forward.

Thanks
My recommendation would be to try an MDT adjustable grip. They appear large, but let you position the body of the grip forward and backward, which allows you to get a shorter reach if needed.

Thank you. That was exactly what I was thinking of.

So it is an AR compatible grip on the Vision so the MDT AR version of that grip will mount on a Vision?

One key limitation to using AR grip on bolt guns is the undercuts on the trigger gaurd. As your hand rotates ro vertical, often you will smash your middle finger into the base of the trigger unless there is a relief cut.

MDT elite will let you rotate a bit off vertical, but others like ergo 0 you are forced to move hand down the grip and this can influence your trigger finger/ 90* pull geometry.

Its 3.385 to the back of the grip from the trigger

Thanks...I was thinking more from trigger shoe to the front strap of the grip as that where my gripper fingers are and that spaces my trigger finger from the shoe.

All good....I see I can use an MDT grip that is adjustable.

I have a good friend who recently got a Vision chassis for his TRG-22 and its very impressive though I just handled it and have not yet shot it (yeah, its cold out and we are pussies here in Maryland! haha).

Thanks again.

Timely bump! @GBMaryland is the knuckle only left-side folding?

@samb300 approximately how long is the backorder for the Sako version do you know?
The folding hinge is ambi, you can use it in either direction.

Rick said he has Sako TRG chassis in stock in the pre-2013 version, and post-2013 version on the way.

Going back to my foundation stock, got a Remington 700 SA vision up for grabs. I think this chassis is right on par or better then the MDT ACC and MDT BA comp. Also love my vision forend for my KRG Tikka chassis.
