First i would like to say hello and, Happy holidays to all. I am new to the forum arena so please bare with me. I have a POF-308-16 recon that i want to put some glass on. What i need to know if any of you shooters have any reviews, test or comments on the IOR 3-18X50 FFP W/ Iluminated Reticle Mil/Mil. The only other scope i'm interested in is the 2-12X32 illuminated which for the life of me can't find any info on, except what dealers are showing such as specs. So any of you guys have some reviews, test or comments on the 2-12x32 would be great as well.
Thanks and happy holidays
D.

Re: IOR 3-18X50 FFP W/ Iluminated Reticle Mil/Mil

Welcome 3-wolves.

Scott @ Liberty Optics is the go to guy for all things IOR.

The 3.5-18 is a great scope, but I think it is too much scope for your application. I have the 3.5-18, the 2-12 and the 1.5-8. I use the 1.5-8 on my POF P308 16" and it works great. It has a .308 BDC cam which many do not care for, but I set my initial calibration at 300 yds, and I hit steel with the other BDC settings from 100 to 600 yds. Very happy with this scope in this application.

Re: IOR 3-18X50 FFP W/ Iluminated Reticle Mil/Mil

Thanks for the reply David. I was looking at the new 3-18x50 not the 3.5-18x50. I know people of my age or a little younger who are shooting variable powers up to 10x and wish they had more power. To be honest the old eyes are'nt what they use to be lol. What i'm looking for is something thats not too big, that it over whelms the rifle but will out perform the rifle. So IMO the lower the low end and the higher the high end the better. 3-18x50 would fit that bill,as would the 2-12x32 but if i go with the 2-12 theres no FFP or mil/mil. maybe come the shot show IOR will wave thier magic wand and poof a 2-12 or 14x42 FFP Digital Illuminated MP8 Reticle and side focus. Hmmm could be the best bet for us SASS marksman. Hey IOR are you listening LOL probably a pipe dream, but hell i never thought i would see a 1-8 Power or 10x varibles either so who knows. I must say i love the 1.5-8 as well but it would sit on top of my .556 M4 Type rifle which it was designed for (.556). Hey Thanks again for replying and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

3-wolves, the 1.5-8 comes in 3 variations, a 5.56 BDC, a .308 BDC and 1/4 moa version.

Re: IOR 3-18X50 FFP W/ Iluminated Reticle Mil/Mil

Wow Did not know that. So your saying that they have a modle that is dedicated to the 7.62/308 in BDC. You know what grian Bullet it is set for? Like the 2-12x36 Spartan Has a BDC for the 168grain 7.62/308.You say they also have a modle that is MOA/MOA. Is That MOA/MOA MP8 or CQB reticle . But IMO if i waas going to go with a BDC for the 7.62/308 i would probably go with the 2-12x36 Spartan, But thats just me. Hey thanks for that info David.

So it is a misprint on liberty optics web sight. it's a 3.5-18x50 and not a 3-18x50. Thanks for clearing that up guys, like finding the best scope for my needs in a decent price range were'nt confussing enough, LMAO.But I want give up and the reserch go'es on. Thanks again guys for clearing that up for me.
