I am searching for a scope for my ar15. I'm wanting something compact. I have been looking at the 1-4, 1-6 power with illum. I will be taking shots from 50yds to 200yds at most so I am wanting that big FOV and don't need a bunch of power. But at the same time for some target practice it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more power so that led me to the IOR.

I cam across this IOR and it seems to give me exactly what I am looking for. I'm just wondering how the glass is for dusk/dawn/night, light gathering compared to say trijicon, burris euro diamond, vortex pst, swfa ss?

This link is for the MP8 ret but I would get the CQB ret.

Re: IOR Glass quality

They use Schott Glass. Best there is on the commercial market.

You might also look up one of the vendors on this website to get it for less and support the website.

Liberty optics and SWFA are two I can think of right off the top of my head.</span>

Re: IOR Glass quality

IOR glass is great one look outside and i was hooked. their PITBULL 1xor4x has an great field of view. The center dot is a large for real tight gps but easy to follows for quick shots. on my 300bo with subs at 125 to 250 yds I can get real good groups using the distance ladder below the center dot.

Re: IOR Glass quality

Aber, I own an IOR, the glass is without doubt exceptional IMHO comparable to S&B. I also have two NF, their glass is also very good but I will say the IOR glass is clearly some of the best I have ever looked thru.

Re: IOR Glass quality

For anything IOR check with Scott at Liberty optic's. IOR has several Scopes that may fill your bill, with price ranges from say $1000.00 up to the new 1X10 f1&f2 scope at $2800.00. Another you might want to check out is the new Leupoled Mark 6 1-6 which is not out yet but maybe worth the wait. Scott will be able to help you with both I think, but IOR definitly. Good Luck and good shopping.

I have the 2-12 and love it. Has the floating dot reticle and turret calibrated for 308. Exceptional glass, very repeatable tracking. I have been more than happy with it.
