Re: IOR or SWFA SS
All,
No one understands the history of IOR like I do, because I've lived it.
Bottom line- in the last 2 years (2011, 2012) there isn't a high volume sales item that has given me (Liberty Optics) fewer issues/headaches than the Gen 4 IOR line.
I love the direction Bushnell is going, but for 2012 their products defects/customer service caused me more grief than IOR did, for sure.
As I've said over and over, two years is a long time in this industry. The original 3-18x42 FFP fiasco is now over 5 years old. Ancient history in an industry sense. Doesn't apply to the 2012/2013 versions.
The 3.5-18x50 has 3.6 inches of eye relief and a generous eye box, eye relief / mounting issues are not an issue with this model.
Just want to make clear so no one thinks I've been pulling the wool over anyone's eyes. If scope model(s) give us/our customers issues, they get culled from the herd, no matter who makes them.
Seriously, if the "Gen 4" scopes have been failing/breaking at the rate the early models did, do you not think it will be all over the web? Nobody is shy about complaining when there are issues that show a pattern. People connect the dots quickly in this day and age. Such data is lacking for IOR the last couple of years. There is a reason for that.
Anybody can contact me anytime with any questions about IOR or any other scopes and they will get an honest answer.
I know that for 2013 IOR is introducing a 4-28x50 FFP and a 5.8-40x56 FFP series of scopes, due out this summer. Should be interesting.
Still sporting an above-average dick and IQ,
Scott
