New Sako A7 with a 26” tube that’s at the smiths getting a break and looking to throw a hornady 162g eldm. Want to keep it around 3000fps and looking for load input from those who know more about it than I do....

I run RL26 with the 180eldms at 3041. 68.5 grains but it may not be safe in your rifle.
28” brux
Only wish I had a 28” Brux. Sounds like a nice ride. Have you tried RL33? Thinking about it with the 162 ELDM’s as my twist is a 9.5 and not rated for the 180. How were your SD’s, ES and accuracy with the 26?
I have not tried RL33 yet. I have around 30lbs if RL26 left. I use it in my 6CM also.
This brux is a 1:9. I had issues with the 175 ELDXs due to the longer bearing surface but the 180s shoot well. The Proof is a 1:8.
.2s-.3s
The throat is just about toast. It has 1018 rounds on it. I have a Proof Steel that is gonna be finished out at 29” throated for the 195s.
The target picture is the last of load development chasing the lands.
Nice! My magnetospeed is so new it only has two strings on it and I love it. I have a Wilson Combat 6.5CM with a 24 inch tube so didn’t look at the slower burning powders. Is your 6.5 a 28” tube as well?
It’s a 6mm. It’s a 24” Proof.
I am at 3020 with it. 2-3 SD also and zero pressure signs at 43.5. Hornady brass, CCI 250 primers, 108 elds.
Sorry about the 20 questions Boomer, try to learn from everybody. I use fed match primers but notice that a lot of the guys use CCI’s. Is there a practical reason why?
