Not taking a side here; sucks for Nikita Megaspin, but his father is directly tied to Putin. That's why the "visibility" of the kid and of the firing. Whether it's right or wrong in this instance I think depends on the point of view of Russias actions. i believe it was more complicated than that, and had more to do with a sponsor, and that sponsor was owned by the drivers father who apparently had direct ties to Putin. I don't know all the details, but i'm at least hopeful that it wasn't purely because he was from Russia. The FIA had ruled that he could race under a neutral flag instead of the russian flag, and I felt that was a good response from the FIA.

We sure did pivot fast from "not all muslims are radical", and "BLM riots are mostly peaceful" to "all russians are evil" really damn fast. I don't support what the Russian government is doing, but I understand it from their point of view. The were concerned about NATO setting up on their border, and concerned that NATo would eventually turn against them. Ukraine is just as politically corrupt and awful as Russia is, and suddenly the Ukrainian president is a great leader, despite imprisoning his opposition, and surely leaving a bunch of bodies in his wake.
