Suppressors Is SiCo going out of business?

That's unfortunate.

Will Q make a 5.56 can?

Yes, we developed one already. The design focus was the military...strong, durable, compact, less blowback, very few parts, very few welds, simple and strong mounting systems, easy to mass produce, inexpensive, lower cost, etc. The silencer market went in the toilet, so we focused on the rifles and supporting those, and held back on the pistol Erector, the 5.56 can, and the integral pistol.

What do you like about that silencer?

I'm looking for something short and durable for a 8" 5.56 SBR. They may not be the latest and greatest, but there's not many 5.56 suppressors rated for sub 10" barrels.

Silencerco & Griffin are the only current options I'm aware of.

Thinking Thunder Chicken for a precision rifle I'm currently gathering parts for. I'll gladly buy a Q 5.56 can too if it meets my needs.

You might consider Dead Air or Rugged for the shorty 5.56mm.

I'm currently waiting on a Sandman K, but I'd still like a short dedicated 5.56 bore can for the SBR. The Sandman K will spend most of its time on a 6.5 Grendel.

While I've got your attention.

Are there any plans to offer your cherry bomb muzzle devices with the standard 90 degree shoulder? I know that they will work with the standard 90 degree shoulder barrel, but I'd would prefer full thread engagement with the typical off the shelf barrel.

And from the other direction, any plans to offer AR barrels with the taper as a stand alone item?

The Cherry Bomb has a taper and a 90 degree. They are reverse compatible with with the tradition 90 degree shoulder. 3-4 threads do all the work, there is no advantage to more.

We will definitely offer Honey Badger uppers. Probably barrels with gas blocks sooner or later.

It depends. Do you have a way of suppressing your calibers larger than .223 now? If money is not a factor, time could be. Personally, I own two 223/5.56 cans. I don’t see a tangible benefit of going with them over 7.62.
^This, I'm shooting a .223 caliber out of a .30 cal can and if there is a difference it's well within 3dB, so it's not discernible to me... But, if cost isn't a concern, a .223 can would do it's job in a more compact package, so perhaps that's worth more coin to some folks.

Got an e-mail as I'm sure others have as well that SiCo is now selling suppressors on silencer shop again. So hopefully that means they will be around for the long haul. I will stick with Thunderbeast though.
