Isn't every LA the same? AICS AX Chassis for R700 300 WinMag CIP

Right, but 300wm CIP mags, not the 338LM CIP mags.

The difference between the chassis is basically the size of the magwell to fit the CIP length mags. The longer mag can fit longer heavier bullets.

Ok. I will buy it from the magazine in the link.
My understanding is that in this case I can seat my 220 Bergers with longer OAL on reload.

The Rem long action 300 win mag and 338 lapua have the same foot print to bolt up to a chassis.
I use MDT mags in a chassis, some chassis have a limit to the COAL length of mag that will fit their chassis.
I just used the same chassis on a 300WM and changed to a 338 bolt and barrel for a .510 Whisper.
The Chassis is limited to 3.715 mag for 300 WM or 338LM.
Running the 300WM at 3.715" makes a world of difference in its performance 2962 fps for 230 match bullets.
A 3.8 mag will not fit a 3.715 mag well.... Is your only concern.
This 300 WM is now bolted for 338 Lapua cases in 510 Whisper...

I wouldn't chance it because they usually specify which LA you are using ie; 300Win vs 338 as shown here. I would call Euro and ask before you spring for that stock. I have the AT .300Win version and remember the .338 being a different stock all together.
I did as you said and asked Euro Optics about this issue.
They stated that there would be no problem installing the 300WM on the 338LM Chassis.

"Hello,
That is correct, you will not have any issues with the fitment of your 300 WM action.
The magazine are going to work Just fine, but some do prefer that longer mag for reloading."
