Sooo....you're the guy with the grocery cart behind her.

None of the above. I've helped some to reach things they could not, while wondering why the healthy shit is always above where they can reach? Look at most store foods, an see where they are placed,...
I scratch my head when people can't see past their own circumstances! Clearly fat comes from food! Nobody is denying that! I have seen huge people eat way less than others and the pounds just add up for them. People that big, obviously have something going on that most don't. If not, the lady would be driving a dump truck in the store and not a cart! Her china drawer would have to be shovels and pitchforks, and not spoons and forks.
When my cousin who was fit her entire life got diagnosed with MS, her meds along with her previous diet added almost 100 pounds on her. Her food intake was far less than mine. Same age, similar genetics.......just the food, right?
my gf is a Dr. and even she will tell you, it aint coming from anywhere other than food. show me the drug that causes that kind of weight gain. bullshit. it’s food down the gullet that causes that. name the drug that causes one to get fat without eating. i’ll wait.....
To get fat w/o eating is not possible, however many Dr's pushed steroids so much that if one does not have a very high level of self control,... that drug will make you over eat very quickly. Plus there are some food that are designed to make you hungry do to the additives. Again self control is the savior but that is in short supply with many these days.
Food choices are another factor.
I dont say any of this as someone who doesnt know how hard it can be to lose a few pounds. I’m about 20 lbs over my fighting weight. Been trying to shed that for quite a while. Between age, work, and other life responsibilities- it isnt easy. I’ve seen how most people eat. And if i ate what they ate, with the portions they ate, i’d be a fat fuck, too.
Folks are way too quick to dismiss personal responsibility here. There is a big difference between being 30-40 pounds over....and what this person has allowed herself to become.

During my chemo years I was up to 270. Once I was off that shit with working out at the Gym in the AM an at home in the PM, I started shedding it but not as fast as I would have liked. So I added reps an time until I could see/feel the difference. I am within 18 lbs of where I was when I Ets'ed the final time, in 76, an with in 8 of my last outing for uncle in 95. I still have a few lb's to go but will not stop whats working until I get there, which should be by my 73rd birthday this year. It's all about mind set an will power,...nothing more an nothing less. Sure there are lots of days I hate to leave at 0430 to work out but, to get something you have to give up something. The old adages,... no pain no gain, if it was easy anyone could do it,...use it or lose it,... all of those I have found to be very truthful,... Beside there are liberals/leftists I have not had the chance to piss off in person yet,...
Once you get to her size and lack of mobility it doesn’t take many calories of intake to keep piling on the pounds. She probably burns very few calories beyond her bmr. Calories in vs. calories out.....it’s really that simple. We always try to complicate it. However, at the end of the day it’s calories in vs. calories out.
I’ve always been fascinated with people like her. If I’m scrolling through the channels and “My 600 pound life” is on I have to watch. I don’t know what it is but I have to watch. I’ve never been able to understand how one lets themself get so far. I put on 10-15 pounds and I make a change. How do you get to 300, 350, 400, 450 or more and not do something to change? I don’t get it.

Some of you guys have got this all figured out.
I get it, I've spotted the welfare whales, parking in handicap spots, living on the file and living large.
Trouble is, sometimes, there are underlying conditions.
I've got a friend, good friend. First time he ever met me, he thought I was a lazy pig. Eventually we became best of friends. He now knows my story, and my struggles and knows I'm not lazy nor a couch potato.
Make fun of me around him, if you dare.
I need help to walk, I don't use it.
I have a limit to how far I can walk before the pain is too much. I walk right to that line.
Spend 37 years on BP meds, and then tell me how you KNOW how these fucks are fat.

I shit you not, i watched the person in the window hand her 3 big bags stuffed full of mcdonalds, and she was tearing into those bags with reckless abandon before she even had the car moving forward. That’s the shit i’m talking about.
And they’re out there. Where i live, en masse.

Life happens and things change, everybody experiences it at some point. What you are today, could be completely different tomorrow. Today a rock star.....tomorrow a vegetable or overweight person in a wheel chair.....one large stroke, one heart attack, one horrible mental experience, one diagnoses....shit happens. Could be you someday!
@armorpl8chikn ....if you are on blood pressure meds, and stacked on some weight, then i’d address that with the doctors. for every extra pound we carry, i read there was a mile more of blood vessels that our hearts have to pump blood through. point being, at what point does the meds that’s supposed to be helping you, start working against you?
i’ve seen more than a few instances where people have finally had it and just quit taking their prescriptions and felt better almost instantly. i am NOT suggesting you do that. my point is, if the situation is as you described, then whatever they are doing isnt working.
i’ve read your posts on here for quite a while and look forward to hearing your opinion on stuff. if you have an issue going on with blood pressure and weight, there is no one i’d love to see conquer that than you.

I was struck down by an issue that gave me vertigo so bad i couldnt even move. And when i did, i had to crawl to the toliet and vomited every inch of the way. Missed quite a bit of work. by. the grace of God, my brain adjusted and i am able to function. but it is a daily thing that affects me, i’ve had to relearn a lot.
also was sidelined with a back issue. to the point i almost couldnt move without help. missed a big chunk of work on that one, too. and i still deal with that issue as well. every day.
so i am not some nimrod who has never had issues piping off. and i am also the first guy to help others when i get the chance; in whatever way i can. And sometimes, that includes being an asshole. Saved my nephew’s life by becoming his own personal drill sergeant for about 2 years.
The way i talk with friends and family is pretty rough and tumble. That’s just the way it is. But there isnt one person i’ve met that doesnt know that i’ll give them the shirt of my back if they need it.

This is very true. I've had the same knee replaced twice and countless revision of this same knee. I won't go into the medical details, but I'm a gimp who needs to hold onto a cart when in stores or I can't make it. I've gained 50 lbs because I can't do much more than hobble around. Can barely get on the floor. Can't get on all 4's. Things do happen that change your life. It sucks getting older.
However, I refuse to get a handicap tag for my truck. A man has to retain some kind of self respect.
