The email issued mentioned earlier this week is now fixed! You may also have received previous emails that were meant to be sent over the last few days - apologies, this was a one time issue and shouldn't happen again!

it's going down , Sunday nite

When I see gun trucks at the intersections I will believe.

I heard the Navy was just Uber for the Marines. :) I think it was 1J who said it. :).
Not Uber, the navy is our chauffeurs full time with a benefit package. At the same time, we're their bonded cargo who really, REALLY excel at getting in their way at any time we can while on their ships. Yes, they do give us classes on it in boot camp.

Hi,

Nobody gives a shit if your wife left you for a new (In my best Mike Tyson voice) "dictating" job.
Nobody gives a shit if you talked to your mom today.
Nobody gives a shit if the cops busted up a college party.
Nobody gives a shit that your super secret squirrel neighbor/friend heard a rumor from a SCIF doorkeeper that Martial law was getting ready to be enacted.
Nobody gives a shit that your ex wife heard from her lawn care worker that FEMA was getting ready to start putting roadblocks at key entrance/exit points to stifle the III%'s .....

Sincerely,
Theis

how do you really feel?haha

For the record, I think it may happen. It would be par for the course when it comes to the overreactions we've already seen. I'm not dismissing the seriousness of covid-19. Yeah, it can be deadly but the hit to our economy is a larger threat imo. This reaction would just compound the damage I've already seen to my 401k.

Ok so I'm gonna go all fucktard here . I got off the phone with a buddy just now . I called to aee how he's doing as he lives out in the stix . He says he's ok but hes2 concerned cor his son . His boy is a nurse in the city an one of the other male nurses at his hospital has been on a ventilator for a couple days because of this shit . People have lost their damn minds over this virus. Personally, me and mine haven't changed a damn thing since this all started other than working from home which wasn't my idea. What happened to the land of the brave?

Stoicism in the face of hardship is a virtue that is getting harder and harder to come by now. This shit is already affecting our economy, and many people are going to get sick and a substantial number may die or suffer long term complications. Panic does not help our situation one bit. It only frazzles nerves and causes distractions to people who are making important decisions.

There is only ONE thing that matters in this entire shitstorm of the century: RESULTS.

We need results, and things that work to solve the crisis and bring effective relief to those who are suffering and may suffer in the weeks to come. Fear and panic does not provide results. Instead, use fear as an impetus towards productive action. Fear that your groceries may run out soon? Make a fucking list and set aside some time for a shopping trip. Make contingency plans for if you or a loved one gets sick and may need care. Think something might wear out or break in your house? Get it fixed right away. Challenges are a part of life. Roll with the punches, be pragmatic, and be ready to work around any crisis that may pop up unforeseen. You do not want to think back on this 10 years from now and beat the shit out of yourself for how cowardly you are acting right now. And you certainly do not want your family, who relies on you the most, as well as your friends and peers to notice that you have such a thin shell that is so prone to cracking at the slightest blow. You DO NOT want that, trust me. Blows to your character are far more painful to take than actual, physical blows.

Stay safe and deal with this crisis using results-motivated reason and pragmatism.

ETA: All of those partial lockdowns and shelter in place orders are NOT because the world is fucking ending. They are being implemented to SLOW the progression of the spread of this virus so the hospitals and their precious resources do not get overwhelmed at once, nurses and essential staff collapse with exhaustion at their posts and people who need critical care cannot get any. Think of it as railway switch heaters. Hot blowers at switches cannot completely ward off the effects of a blizzard BUT they can slow down the accumulation and ice buildup to the point that road workmen can manually clear the switches and keep trains moving.

The 900,000 BTU units we've been putting in definitely ward off all the blizzard. And keep the propane companies happy. And light the ties on fire when the dispatcher calls them on when there's no snow yet but plenty of tumbleweeds that get caught in the switch are there. And cook rabbits hiding from the cold to a very, VERY well done. The trains then take care of the coyotes trying to eat the rabbits.

We need some antiviral shit like that.

Yea, that was my response to the buddy who sent me those pics. That shithole needs the guard on any normal day. Nothing new to me, I work there pretty much every day. Some days, the only difference between that place and down town Mogadishu is the blackhawk laying on the ground it seems.

Hey, OP is right. I read it in the Washington Examiner.

Thay article is pure speculation of all kinds of different options. About as concrete as mud.

Hi,

Still waiting for the Communique to come across the official channels.....Nothing at all...
My bags are packed with no orders to go anywhere......ahhh the memories of the lil birds landing in NOLA during Katrina; the smell of suppression in the air, lolol

Sincerely,
Theis

That was an interesting place and time for sure. I remember seeing Blackwater contractors camped out providing security for some very expensive homes.

Hi,

Well fuck that shit.....If you need anything let me know.

Sincerely,
Theis
Appreciate it, I'm good for now I hope
I just can't believe how much imbecile the media has brought out in people.
I'm more worried about a common cold or worse the flu than I am the Carona Virus

During the WH press conference today I was honestly waiting for one of those bobbleheads to shout "WE NEED MORE COWBELL "
