I’ve always thought that the reason it hasn’t been fully released was that there’s some scandalous/incriminating/embarrassing info about MLK’s assassination more so than anything to do with Kennedy. CIA wanted King shut down, that’s obvious from what was released previously. I guess we’ll all find out soon… maybe.

I have a lot of thoughts on the matter myself- but after 60 years I have some wonderment if the files have been preserved 'in tact' and here's my reasoning on that. Hoover might make for a good example but following that thought- I believe information is power and if there are still surviving... folks that were not included in the Warren Commission's report, there's a part of me that believes that those records would have HAD to remain intact if for no other reason than to be used as leverage....

The standards for what should be allowed to be kept secret and how long needs to be set into a hard law and what’s allowed to be kept secret should be excedingly thin. At least compared to our current government. Allows for too much corruption and fraud on our country.

I caught that too- but here's where I think it'll get interesting (at least for me).

Let's say "they" respond with releasing the rest of the JFK files (and we do know after the last release that there were documents withheld) and they're highly (or even partially for that matter) redacted...

I don't know how much MSM coverage we can hope for but I think that if nothing else that would make for a rather fascinating legal case that (admittedly) will likely take years unless they find a way to expedite that much faster than usual. But by fighting/protesting what is redacted- at least as I see it- that in by itself is a self admission of portions of those files being on public record as an admission of worth concealing (likely due to 'national security' reasons').

I think that'd have the power alone to just open up everything all over again about inaccuracies on the Warren Commission's report and only serve to fuel the decades long belief that things have been hidden from the American public.

Why would the CIA- if (a) they had any knowledge of further information and (b) were they themselves involved, a theory of which I don't necessarily subscribe to either destroy such powerful information? Kind of makes sense when you understand that a 6.5x52mm Carcano bullet fired from the rear would cause the head to tilt forward since it likely hit at just under 2,000 ft-lbs of energy on an area of the body that essentially "bobs & weaves" because it's attached to the neck exaggerating the impact. But here's the image, close to the torso and Kennedy leaned in the direction of the bullet path. I won't argue that and fully expect 1,800+ ft-lbs with a.. 162gr RN bullet (I think that I remember that accurately).

i kinda lean that way. MOL,i think it was a Dulles op run by a rogue faction in CIA that wanted revenge for Dulles and others being fired for Bay of Pigs and to stop Kennedy for doing some things they opposed. Warren commission X 2 were white washes. did Oswald do any shooting? why did he go back home for a gun,not bringing it with him? Ford,LBJ,SS implicated in some way. i think LBJ was aware but not directly involved. JFK might have dumped him at re-election time? never heard any explanation,that was believable, of why Ruby shot Oswald and what was in it for him. he was obviously gonna be shot,executed or life in prison. so,what was his motivation?
