Ok been doing alot of research for muzzle brakes its about made me sick. With this ive been all over the place from pws to surefire to Jec and Ross. coming down to it i want something that had a sleek design and with best possible performance for my Rem AAC SD. As ive picked up JEC customs muzzle brakes are run by all the big name shooters i would say since its run by most of them it must be worth it possible the best. Now at the same time if you look at Ross' brake they look the same and people swear by these as well. Now the only difference seems to be the cost? and Ross only comes in stainless steel.

Main Question has anybody shot both of these and could actually tell a difference? Or give me a little more info to help me make a decision?

I've not shot the Ross, but have the JEC. It performs well. I have little experience and based the purchase of the JEC on options here and on, like you said, what a lot of tactical comp shooters choose.

I'll bet you'll be happy with either. Very happy. Stop analyzing, buy one, install it and go and shoot it. Either are going to perform great.

I have had several done by Ross and I am quit happy with them. His customer service is unmatched. Brakes were all shipped as soon as he was done and cut to the exact specifications. At the time he did both SS and CM, I always opted for CM.

If its for your AAC, dont forget to ask for a relief cut as the threads on your bbl dont go all the way down to the diameter transition/shoulder.

I've wondered about this myself. I have only purchased one brake and it was a ross. Mine was in the mail before he got the check! I made sure he new what caliber it was for so that it would be ready to install without a smith. Amazingly it didn't even have to be timed. Luck of the draw, I guess! Anyway I'm happy.

I have two of Ross' brakes and am very happy with both the performance of the brake and the service I got from Ross. I forgot to ask him to relief cut the threads for my AR and I sent them back to him and he fixed my oversight and shipped them back for free. I had the brakes in my mailbox in just a few days on both occasions.
I don't have another brand of brake to compare Ross' to, but I think you would be hard pressed to find a better combo of price, performance and service...

I have a JEC on my Rem AAC .308 and a Ross on my AR. Both work great. If you want a moly brake that has been blued, I would go with JEC. The Ross moly brake with be raw metal. Ross has excelent customer service and tapered my brake before shipping, all I had to do was trim to time it. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the performance of either.

Thanks for all the end put guys, ended up going with a Ross had at my door in a week. Just shot it today and all i can say is wow, for 45 idk if i could have ordered a better one, as far as recoil goes just nonexistence anymore, shot out to 400 as the range only allowed me to go that far could pretty much follow my shot there. Its just stupid loud now but i guess that means its working, probably will have to come off during hunting season unless i plan on wearing ear plugs which i might do so i can watch the doe drop. But all in all would recommend this to anybody.
