Jesse James to launch gun business.

you know he was on Son's of Guns right? something about a chromed out dildo machine ruined Browning BAR

Being on Sons of Guns= 2 legit 2 quit.

However; I do remember him pointing out the shitty milling job that was done by the Red Jacket guys on the forward grip for his BAR.

I'm interested to see what level of quality his shop will put out.

Great. Another version of Sons of Dumb. This not the image as a community we want to be presenting. Red Jacket is bad enough with those guys banging around the shop haphazardly making crap. Constantly telling the public that if even the slightest thing goes amiss they will have a huge explosion. For non gun people it gives them the impression that we all walk around with bombs waiting to happen and that firearms are made by idiots. Now we are going to have a loud mouth out of control bully who threatens everybody he comes in contact with making guns. In my opinion this is not good. Sorry for ranting, but this bothers and disturbs me.

I've not watched any shows like those, in many years. Out of disgust. I just pray that this isn't the advent of Burnt-Candy-Apple 92F's or Chopped 700's with Spinning Reticals.

If it/they are simply another offering (quality, mind you) of the 1911 and the JJ-15, then maybe. (had to throw the 'jj' in there, so that I don't get SWAT raided for copyright infringement on letters)

I worked for a friend of mine on his nitro team at the nhra drag races inn charlotte this year and I actually met the guy. He is involved with one of the nitro funny car drivers and they were pitted next to us. I spent some time talking with him about guns and such. From my experiance he is nothing like he has been portrayed on tv. In a one on one conversation he is a very sincere nice guy. Whether or not his busniess is good or bad remains to be seen. I hope that it shines a positive light on gun owners but, I suppose time will tell.

Totally agree, like the douchebags in CO too that test fucking magnum loads holding just the barreled action in the basement in front of a sand barrel.

But I don't think these shows are exactly bankrolled by people who LIKE firearms. They seem a lot more to me like shows designed to illustrate how "crazy" firearms owners are how reckless the entire industry is (and of course make a buck in the process!). I mean, if these guys were the sole reason firearms existed in America, or the standard to which they are made, I'd be for banning them too.

I forgot about those guys in CO. I think the reason they pick these asshats is for entertainment. I get that. I don't think a lot of people would watch a real gun maker doing his job. It would be like watching paint dry.

Legs be honest here.....he is a very talented builder & craftsman of metal. If doesn't take much to build a 1911 or AR with quality components.

I'm sure if he gets a CNC machine, he will be able to build quality parts & a quality product. I'm pretty sure he'll start off small and easy and hopefully employ an actual experienced & trained gunsmith.

If this can be a show/venture that is of quality and respect, as well as keep it interesting for those with IQ's of more than 37, then by all means GREAT. But when the vast majority of crap that is on tv, as well as the generality of stuff that is associated with 'celebrities' is only there for the buck, via "controversy" (can't anyone do anything without a crisis?) then we (the people with intelligence) can only expect to receive more of what we've been propagandized with.

How long can you hold your breath?

I used to sit next to Jesse at LA Kings games when he lived in Seal Beach. He is a great guy and great American. Dude does not build crap either. I have run into him a couple of times and he always remembers my name and says hi. I would let him build me a precision gun any day of the week. Dude is so OCD it's ridiculous. Problem is it will cost 25k. Hahaha
