My Jewell HVR trigger (Remmy 700, top safety) arrived yesterday and the top thumb safety lever has about 1/16" or so play in all directions. I contacted Jewell directly, which by the way Tommy is great to deal with, and he indicated a bit of 'room' is built into those safety levers by design. The little dogleg levers (safety lever linkage) are held in by rivets and need room to move. I understand.
My issue is I feel like I bought a 'high end' precision trigger group and for me a loosey goosey safety function makes the part feel, well, cheap. Jewell said I am welcome to send it back in and they can attempt to tighten it up, but then a again, the 'play' is there by design.
No changes after install, functions fine, just feels sloppy.
Are your Jewell triggers the same way? Nature of the beast? Are other aftermarket triggers the same?
***I did search and found one post about a loose safety, but not really any info or outcome.
