I've been looking around for pictures of jigs that people have made. What do you guys use to time and solder/tig a bolt handle on??

I like yours better than his. Looks easier to get to, and see the handle from all sides.
Not starting a pissing match.... I was taught to use the front lug set against a known area and time the bolt handle to that. I need to keep my mouth shut I think

You can use the action to set timing and a witness mark

That jig is for machining the bolt knob to extend it or thread on a different knob; isn't it?
For timing/soldering the handle to the body, I made a simple jig out of a bolt that screws into the back of the body and has a little clamp to hold the handle. This way I could test the fit/timing of the handle (as held by the jig) in the receiver before soldering it.
I'm sure jigs and fixtures are worth their weight in gold.
That said, if you buy a small pair of needle nose vice grips, grind the jaw that holds the handle so that it doesn't mark it up, and radius the one that goes into the bolt body, you can use your action to fixture the location. This way you kill 2 bird with a single rock. It'll allow you to tailor the primary extraction to the receiver as you position it.
I can tig/time a bolt in less than 10 minutes this way.
Seriously, save your sheckles and buy a $15.00 pair of vice grips. -the exception being the clever feller that made the threaded plug to come in from the backside. Pretty cool idea imo.
