Does anybody have any experience with JP uppers using non JP lowers? On their site is said the end user would have to figure that out for themselves. I am curious if it will fit DPMS style lowers?
From their catalog.
The large-frame PSC-12™ upper assembly can be paired with a modified LRP-07™ lower
for a complete rifle and can also mate to standard DPMS-style lower receivers.
Yup...it'll pin-up to any DPMS-pattern lower (DPMS, IRA-10D/X, JD, etc., etc.). The fit may not be as "tight" as a "matched" JP upper/lower receiver set, but it should work on a basic DPMS billet lower without issue.
I have a CTR-02 upper that fits my old Colt A2 lower. There is no play at all between the JP upper and the Colt lower. Only issue I had is my Colt has the larger take down pin and required an offset pin to make work.
Sounds like I will be going JP when I get my next upper. That is great. I was talking with GAP and they didn't know if there stuff would work in a DPMS platform rifle. I talked with JP to confirm all of this and they confirmed it would work. To top it off there wait time is only 10-14 weeks as opposed to GAPs 10 month wait.
