Thread for posting scores for our monthly "SH MONTHLY RIMFIRE 25+50yd 4 POSITION COMPETITION" , "SH MONTHLY 50yd TACTICAL RIMFIRE COMPETITION", and "SH 'WHAT BUGS ME' RIMFIRE COMPETITON" matches.

SH "WHAT BUGS ME" RIMFIRE COMPETITON RULES

Printable Targets - SH Short Range Rimfire Competitions Set up as the same dimensions as any of the targets that are commercially available, to be used with 8.5" x 11" printer paper, and to use minimal ink. For the 4P 5 bull target, a portion of the edge can be folded and matched / stapled / taped to the other side - essentially making one large target.

Scores of all three short range competitions will be posted in the same thread. If you shoot more than one competition, please use different posts (one for each). At the end of the month, scores and rankings from both competitions will be posted as seperate events.

Thanks TP for putting this together.

I got a Savage TR going on 2 weeks ago and put a Falcon Menace 4-14 scope on it. I also put a TAB sling with no buckles and a Triad stock pack on it (to build my cheek rest).

I have been practicing just getting into the sling supported positions and have been shooting a little. I pick up 10" baseballs at the baseball field while walking my dog and hang them up at 25 and 50 yards where I shoot.

I enjoyed shooting my first 4P 25 yard target today and can see there is lots of room for improvement. I can sure dump a shot with the best of them!

Oh yeah. Thanks to the folks already in this competition for their kind manners and helpfulness. Much appreciated.

I'm looking forward to improving my marksmanship with you all.

Maybe I can post another target at the end of the month?

I printed off some of the 50 yard tactical and the bugs. I think me and the wife are going to try to shoot them both this month.

It surprised me that these Remington GB's actually did pretty
good in this old rifle. Not my first or even last choice for
.22lr ammo, but I have about 800 - 900 rounds of this stuff
that has been given to me over the years as gifts, so I need
to use it up.

Clodhopper, I'll run the course again tomorrow with one of my
scoped rifles and see what I can do since you left me an opening.

Ok Clodhopper, I took advantage of that open
offhand shot you made, but had that shot been closed and worth
7 points to you,,, you would of had me on the "x" count. So nice
shooting my friend! That's still one heck of a score you posted!

I shot one more target and I'll post it since I won't be shooting another one before the month ends. I'm buying another mag for my Savage TR tomorrow. I can't get mine to feed the last round and I've tried quite a bit. Those magazines are pretty flimsy if you ask me.
Between my funky magazine and reloading and shooting my CF's, I didn't get to my 22 all that much.

Thanks for the welcome clodhopper. It's a pleasure shooting with you guys.

It looks like Joe Martin may take this month (?) with some nice shooting. Looking forward to more practice!

175 with my Marlin 17VS (17HMR), bi-pod, rear bag, SS scope.

Got so close to 240. If the paper ripped the line from the bullet does that count.

If I remember correctly, this is my best score ever on the 4psn 25yard target. I didn't even think it was as consistent as it turned out to be while I was shooting it. I am very pleased with this one.

I also shot a 50yd tactical target. As usual for me ... it was horrible.

But I did hit the cold bore shot for once. Just didn't hit much else.
