Hunting & Fishing June 1st Colorado please let it be me!

Where is everyone hunting this year??? Waiting on Colorado deer if I don't get that opportunity I'll be doing Arizona OTC Archery deer and California Archery deer and a general rifle tag. Buy points in Wyoming as well.

This year is unusual for me in that I am fortunate to have few trips planned. I went hog hunting in West Virginia in April. I'm off to South Africa for a plains game hunt in June and will be hunting Aoudad in Texas at the end of the year. Local whitetail are on the board too.

I've got a Montana big game combo, deer and elk. Local whitetail of course. And waiting on the rest of my western elk and sheep draws. I submit for all states that have a draw/point system. Eventually I'll get one of the choice tags somewhere.

Differs from state to state. Some give you an extra draw for each point. In Montana your points are squared. So if you have 2 points you get 4 "draws", 5 points is 25 "draws" etc... Some states don't have points systems and everyone has the same odds each year.

Makes sense. I know a friend that I dove hunt with was trying to explain the CO system I believe it was to me. He said he had been trying for like 20+ years and finally got drawn. He didn't get anything on the hunt that year so he was automatically allowed to go the next year or something like that.

Buddy just checked the 'back door' and looks like we drew our CO rifle elk tags!

I too waiting on June 1 to see if the State of Colorado tells me I need to buy a muzzleloader
