I was able to take delivery toward the end of my R&R. Order started out as a .308 "Rock" in an AICS 1.5. Besides the action and trigger magic, I ordered the bolt release mod. Barrel is a Bartlein 1-11.25 twist, 20" threaded for can. Badger 20MOA base.
I had them dip the AICS skins in A-TACS camo...it came out great. Todd Jackson did the flat dark earth on the barrel, action, bipod, scope, scope mount and mag. FDE complements the A-TACS perfectly.
Scope is S&B 4-16x50 PMII, P4F reticle, mil/mil turrets, Spuhr scope mount, Atlas bipod with AI spigot, sling and SAS1 suppressor cover by TAB Gear. Tony got the material to do the SAS1 in A-TACS...great customer service.
As usual, the same names will pop up for being great to deal with...GAP crew for rifle build, Todd Jackson for Cerakote, Lisa at RO for ensuring I got the Atlas when the V8 was just out and hot, Tony Burkes for going out of the way to get the A-TACS nylon and my friend John Lemm for advise on the build and hooking me up in other ways. Honorable mention to Spuhr and TNVC...after the hiccups in the initial group buy, the Spuhr mount is a solid piece of kit.
I know the range report is the most important part, but I barely had enough time to get to the range to zero it. My wife got her first bolt rifle and I made sure she had it zeroed and was comfortable with it before I headed back over here. I have already made significant range time with the rifle my first priority for my next R&R.
