Was reading the Goodyear post recently and it reminded me i needed some new tires on our 2008 sedan. We rarely drive the car but i still wanted to be safe. We live in a very mild somewhat arid climate region, we never see snow and get very little rain.
I checked Costco Tire first and they had some deals but i wanted to compare so i went to a local tire shop called Discount Tire (maybe other shops sell them as well?). They had a pretty nice price on a set of 4 tires. Hundreds of dollars cheaper than the lowest priced options from Costco.
I ended up purchasing the Milestar brand, model MS932 XP+. They ran $582 for a set of 4 installed, including their replacement warranty, tax, installation, balancing and all the creative California taxes.
I must admit these tires are really pretty good, they handle much better than the mid range Michelins we previously had on the car and a lot less expensive. They have a little bit more of a sporty / more aggressive feel... in a good way. They might be a touch louder but if so just a touch.
Thought perhaps someone else might be looking for a deal.
