On the specs sheet included it says the Reticle "Glass reticle etched or photo engraved" Well which is it ? One thing for sure I've never looked through better optics. I feel like 10x on this scope is like 20x on any of my Bushnell elites. Tomorrow will mount it and take it up to the range. I was told by Scott at liberty optics this is the best one IOR makes. So far I'm a happy camper

I've shot a friend's IOR 2.5-10 and the 3-18

I have to say that I think the 2.5-10 is a perfect scope for a 308 and that's what he has it mounted on.

Etched/photo engraved is the same thing I think. I'm about 95% sure that they're the same thing.

Enjoy the new scope, they're very nice.

Scott shipped mine yesterday. I think it will be a great fit for my LTR. Really excited to look through it after all the talk I've heard about the glass. I've never looked through an IOR before...

Iron Worker,
What do you think about that floating dot? I have the SFP model and boy does that dot play tricks sometimes. Seems to disappear when my eye is focused on the target. It's a great training aid I believe to help focus on both reticle and target into one.

Is it the FFP model they just came out with? How is clarity at 10X, any fuzziness around the edges, objects appearing blurry at longer distances? I want one of their 10x42's but I'm a little hesitant as I've never looked through one (I do have a 4x24 IOR and it's great).

So I don't have a dot.It was $200 bucks less. Also mine is SFP not FFP. I really think its so clear that I can see detail that I need at least 20x on my elites to see. No fuzziness how ever the lines on MP-8 waver a bit to my 52 year old eyes.
