I hope all the political parties start getting violent with each other... its the best chance we have of getting rid of them without damaging America.
Never happen. All talk, no action...
Oh, for goodness sakes; UBI, pure Communist wealth transfer. "
From each, according to his ability, to each, according to his need".
The complete paragraph containing Marx's statement of the creed in the
Critique of the Gotha Program is as follows:
In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labor, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labor, has vanished; after labor has become not only a means of life but life's prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-around development of the individual, and all the springs of co-operative wealth flow more abundantly—only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!
Codswallop!
NOBODY HAS ANY MORE RIGHT TO YOUR INCOME THAN YOU DO.
In the first instance; you earned it, and nobody else did. There is no second instance. Third instance, see second instance.
Anyone who says otherwise is a scammer after your wealth; which is precisely what Marx had his sights on.
Sounds a lot like Congress, actually...
When everybody owns the means of production, nobody owns it, nobody has any pride of ownership or sense of responsibility, and nobody gives a damn when things go upside down. The Communist dream of abundance becomes the absolute myth it was always destined to be. The only Communist abundance of the bourgeois is the confiscated wealth of its victims; and that abundance is very, very finite.
Tell me how UBI is any different.
Oobi... Oddly enough, Oobi is an empty hand, wearing a disguise.
When the Federal Income Tax assessment became law in 1909, it was established at 1%, and decried that, horror of horrors, it my even someday reach 2%.
Outrageous, one might say. Many did. They were right then, and no less right now.
Such assessments, precisely like AOCD/Bernie's proposals, are always proposed (and enacted) as very small proportions. Inevitably, they are always incrementally escalated, always based upon very logical, plausible fictions.
All tax schemes are perversions of Marx, whereby the collective's altruistic wisdom exceeds that of the individual, and has its expression in a shakedown backed by the compulsory force of the collective, administered by a faceless, unelected bureaucratic commissariat.
Taxes predate Marx, having their basis in the divine right baronial force, and previously by the force of the outlaw highwayman.
Is that any different from the April 15th scam?
Don't kid yourselves...
