BLRPRC (2 Days)
This is a two day course designed for the novice marksman, but it is highly encouraged and recommended for those who have had little or no formal training to attend. We promote a friendly and professional environment that puts new shooters at ease. We specialize in making you comfortable while giving you the best learning environment possible. A fast paced course, it will begin with firearms safety and rapidly transition into equipment comprehension, fundamentals of marksmanship, basic ballistics, wind reading, range estimation, mover targets and target engagements to 800 yards. This course will utilize the entire K&M facility, fully taking advantage of the 12 plus ranges on site. Students that complete the course will have a basic proficiency in firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment and systematic training methods for future progression.

•Safety
•Equipment selection and care
•Building your position, basic fundamentals of marksmanship, trigger control, recoil management
•Introduction to wind reading
•Employing the milliradian reticule for range estimation
•Understanding MOA and milliradian adjustments
•Introduction to internal and external ballistics
•Introduction to positional shooting – prone, standing, kneeling, sitting
•Data gathering out to 800 yards
•Engagement of moving targets

Addition Information:
There are good hotels in Crestview FL – they are 30 minutes away from the range (approx 25-30 miles). There is plenty of fast food, restaurants and shopping near the hotels as well. Stock up in town, there are no services near the facility.

Northwest Florida Regional Airport (Ft Walton Beach) - 45 miles
Pensacola International Airport (Pensacola) – 60 miles

We added this course due to demand. Hopefully this will catch us back up and we can find a happy medium so you guys can plan and have time to get time off work while keeping the registration open longer the a week and a half.

What is the round count for the two days? And what type of rifle & caliber is recommended.

Alpha,

Round count is 200-250 for the course. Short action calibers are recommended but not a requirement. Repeatable 1 moa accuracy with a quality adjustable scope is a requirement. Give me call at your convenience and I can provide further details if needed.

The course is sold out, another K&M shooter needed to slide into the class from a missed class in 2013 and took the last slot. Please contact us for wait list slots for this course and the February Course. It is likely that a slot or two might open up given the earlier registration times.

The weekend started off with some heavy rain, but let up after we front loaded some classroom time. We had a great group of shooters that spent the weekend with K&M. We appreciate everyone coming out, being safe and learning from our instructors. We had our youngest shooter thus far; 13 year old Alison shot lights out and did a great job! It was another rewarding class for K&M and can’t wait to have everyone back!

My wife and I came to this course and had a great time. Very, very educational. I learned a whole lot. This was a first time for both of us shooting scoped, bolt action rifles other than 20 rounds off a bench at the house, sighting in a Savage Model 10. The course material and teaching were outstanding. Learned a whole lot in a short period of time and at least now I know the concepts of fundamentals of marksmanship and have a good platform to practice off of. Was cool shooting plates at >500 yards too.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their long range shooting.
